My name is Moenau, and I’m from the island of Tahiti.

I’m trilingual and deeply passionate about Polynesian culture. I first began teaching beginner Tahitian at home to my two daughters, an experience that inspired me to create this course and share the language with others around the world.

Over time, I realized how many ʻOri Tahiti dancers and instructors were eager to connect more deeply with the culture, but didn’t have access to the right language resources.

My mission is to help preserve and pass on Reo Tahiti by making it accessible, practical, and meaningful, especially within the world of ʻOri Tahiti.

I truly believe a language stays alive when we learn it, use it, and share it with others.

The course is designed for English speakers. Because English and Tahitian are very different languages, I explain things in English for most of the course so that you can understand the main concepts more easily, and the transition to Tahitian is smoother and easier to understand.

The ʻA ʻOri te Reo – Dance Your Language course is designed for those who already have some basic knowledge of Tahitian. 
At the same time, it’s highly valuable for more advanced learners, as the lessons gradually deepen and become more complex.

This video shows you how the courses, their videos, and the additional materials look like (example of Beginner 1). 

The courses are divided into multiple sections, containing the 236 video lessons and the exercise sets. I advise you to watch the sessions in order, as the courses provide you a sequential and logical learning path. Remember that you can always go back and watch the lessons as many times as you need.

All the videos are in FULL HD, and it's possible to regulate the speed, sound, and quality. In all my videos I try to use as many visuals as possible such as images, tables, and graphs. At the same time, you can also see me talking directly to you, making the lessons as engaging and fun as possible.
